Buckland Farm
Earleville, MD
Nestled inside an existing structure, this aerated compost system was built by Jim and Cindy with the intention of improving their pasture management, equine health, and the environment. Living in the watershed of the Chesapeake Bay, Jim and Cindy were concerned about potential leachate runoff into a nearby tributary. The surprising added bonus was the effect the compost has had on their vegetable garden. Jim says the vegetables grow with "vigor". The finished compost from their O2Compost system has turned out to be the ticket to simplified, four-season gardening. Learn more and see photos of their gardens and compost system in our September 2014 Newsletter.
