Aerated compost bays can be constructed to be either semi-portable or portable installations. Compost bay systems are ideally suited for medium scale municipal and industrial facilities where the function of the system is more important than the aesthetic form. Aerated bays can be uncovered or covered, depending on the preferences of the owner.
The aeration system can be comprised of either pipe-on-grade or aeration trenches built into the compost slab. Aerated composting bays can be used for large volumes of livestock manure, landscaper yard debris, and combined yard debris and food waste. With the Aerated bay system, on-site compost training by O2Compost staff is also available.
