Most of the finished compost is given to a local organic farmer. What he doesn't take is used on the fields and paddocks or given to neighbors for their small gardens. Kristina elected to build two more 2-bin benchmark compost systems just like this one. The extra space allows the compost to remain in the bin a full 90 days for curing instead of having to transfer it to allow room for a new batch.
