Eden Farm constructed this system for 55 horses on wood pellet bedding. It is a top-down ASP compost system using "ecology blocks" for both the back retaining wall and the side walls. Pipes are placed on the floor of the system and teh blower is attached at the front when the bay is full. After approximately 30 days, the pipes are pulled out from under the compost pile with a farm tractor. Eden Farm is also testing a mix of compost and wood shavings as stall bedding.
