In 2009, Rick G. constructed an above-grade Micro-Bin to compost the manure generated by seven horses.  He sealed the bottom to prevent air leaks and added a shed roof to control the moisture content of the mix.  It was working perfectly up until the time (when it was empty) that it tipped over in a 70 mph wind storm.  As we like to say, “Experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want”.
