Silver Oaks Stable is located on the north shore of Long Island, New York, and replaces a century old dairy farm that formerly occupied the property. The owner, Kimberly G., was committed to properly managing the manure from 19 horses on-site and using the finished compost in her gardens and on 24 acres of pasture. The local village was also very concerned about surface water quality during the permitting process and her compost system helped to facilitate permits and re-development of the property.
