Pleasant View Farm is located in the Croton Watershed, one of the two areas that provide water to New York City. This was a grant funded project through the Watershed Agricultural Council in Yorktown, New York. It serves to compost the manure and bedding from approximately 80 horses, with the compost used both on-site and sold into the local community. This compost system also includes a tank to capture roof water, thereby resolving the questions, “How do we get water to the site?”
