Pisticci Restaurant
New York, NY
When Michael F.'s Italian restaurant grew, he wondered if the restaurant could continue to do well while also doing "good". He began to think about the impact he was having on the earth. That's when our Micro-Bin system was recommended by an upstate farmer. Since space is very limited outside the building, the O2Compost system turned out to be a good fit. The organic matter going into the bins is derived from food scraps, napkins, and paper products and is easily managed by restaurant employees. The composting process saves the restaurant close to $300 per month in carting fees and creates a quality potting mix used on his farm.
