Bob N. installed this three-bay top-down compost system as a way to reduce environmental impacts on a nearby reservoir. By replacing his static pile system, he has also reduced labor by eliminating the need to turn the piles every week. As a retired engineer, Bob has perfected his methods to produce a consistent product year in and year out.  The word leaked out that he was producing high quality, weed free compost and now he sells all that he can produce to his neighbors.  His only complaint is that he doesn’t have enough for his own pastures.
