In 2003, Amy H. became O2Compost’s first out-of-state client. Her 3-bin, on-grade compost system processes 8-10 cubic yards of manure every two weeks. It has been in full operation since March 2004 and, without interruption, it produces excellent quality compost that she spreads on her own pastures and sells to an adjoining organic farm. During the three drought years following construction of Amy’s system, she had the only green pastures for miles around and she discovered that within the first year her weed problem had disappeared.
