Jake Kheel piloted an experiment that used four different aerated static piles with different organic inputs as part of a project funded with the German Cooperative Agency (GIZ). They studied different options for designing and installing the system and determined that O2Compost fit their needs. Their ASP piles are composting horse manure, food waste, green waste, and sargassum seaweed. The finished compost is used internally for landscaping or sold to local landscapers. Jake reports the system is still being fine-tuned to address the humidity requirements. They continue to explore better options for moisture management.
