With eight horses, Tara was looking for a healthy way to reuse the piles of horse manure. Rather than sending it to the dumpster, she wanted to take a greener approach to be able to complete the cycle in a way nature intended. Tara is very happy with her O2Compost aerated bay system. Initially, she was concerned that the horse manure compost would not break down quickly enough before completely filling the bins, but she has been happily surprised to find that isn't a problem. The finished compost is used on her vineyard, pastures, gardens and trails. What is left over is shared with her neighbor, who just happens to be one of the top wineries in the country.
