With design assistance provided by O2Compost, one side of Margaret L.'s old hay barn was converted into a four-bay aerated compost system. Margaret has 26 horses bedding on wood pellet bedding, and much of the finished compost was used onsite for erosion control along the sides of newly constructed roads. Most of the compost is now purchased by her son, a local landscaper who refers to his mom’s compost system as “the goose that lays my golden eggs”.
