These O2Compost Micro-Bins were built by student volunteers. The plan is to have an E-Bio class working with the compost system - composting food scraps from the cafeteria mixed with carbon sources such as napkins, leaves, wood chips, and the occasional load of paper plates from picnic events held on campus. Randy T., the Environmental Services Manager, said it has been very easy to maintain the temperatures between 130 and 145 degrees.
