Created in 2011 as one of the largest, most urban farms in New York City, the award-winning Riverpark Farm provides fresh produce to Riverpark Restaurant and offers an innovative learning resource for the community. Good compost is crucial to their organic growing methods which is why they use an aerated O2Compost system. Their compost is produced from the restaurant waste (oyster shells, coffee grounds, produce prep waste, eggshells and shrimp shells) as well as the waste from their farm. With just three compost bins, Riverpark is able to offset about 25% of the restaurant's waste.
