Melody C. has two horses on wood shavings bedding. Wanting to eliminate the cost of monthly manure pickup service, she built her Micro-Bin system with her own two hands! Since she frequently relocates the bins to areas that require extension cords to power the blower and timer, Melody now uses a solar panel kit. This particular setup has some limitations, but it seems to be working well with the mild temperatures in southern California. The finished compost is used:  (1) to fill raised vegetable garden beds; (2) as corral topsoil; and (3) shared with friends and neighbors.
