O2C System Options

Our goal is to provide an easy and inexpensive solution to manure management through the use of Aerated Static Pile Composting. To achieve this goal, we have developed the O2Compost Training Program in order to:

  • Clearly explain the principles of aerated composting in layman’s terms;

  • Provide all of the equipment needed to get started quickly and eliminate a time-consuming and expensive "trial and error" process;

  • Create extraordinary value and provide an opportunity to convert an on-going expense into a one-time investment that often pays for itself in 6 to 12 months;

  • Improve horses' health by: 1) destroying parasites, pathogens and weed seeds in the raw manure; 2) greatly reduce flies; 3) reduce mud and dust; and 4) dramatically improve pasture quality;

  • Reduce offensive odors and clean up the appearance of the farm by systematically managing the manure as a part of the daily routine; and

  • Most importantly, reduce adverse impacts to the environment and create a finished product that greatly contributes to sustainable farming practices.

Micro-Bin Compost System

The Micro-Bin is a kit well suited for 1 to 3 horses and is the simplest and most affordable approach to aerated composting. It has recently been expanded to include both portable compost bins and permanently constructed compost bins. In addition to our previous designs that utilize plywood for bin construction, we now feature two additional options: 1) design drawings for a permanent 3-bin concrete block design; and 2) expandable vinyl bin kits.

Macro-Bin Compost System

The Macro-Bin is our newest system designed to accommodate up to 10 horses. It is a semi-permanent structure with four design options to choose from. Costs are kept to a minimum by using tongue-and-groove lumber to construct the bins, and the drawings are simple - thereby eliminating the need for a contractor.

Cornerstone Compost System

The Cornerstone Compost System is our basic, larger scale system. It allows you to purchase any one of the components in our O2Compost training program, including:

  • standard design drawings (we currently have four design options available);
  • a high-quality aeration equipment package (with 1 year extended warranty); and
  • our training manual plus two months of technical support.

The Cornerstone System is ideal for hands-on horse owners with construction know-how and some prior composting experience. It is also the perfect upgrade for current Micro-Bin owners.

Sterling Compost System

The Sterling Compost System is our newly expanded O2Compost comprehensive training program. It includes:

  • a custom compost system design;
  • our highest quality aeration equipment package (with lifetime warranty);
  • unlimited technical support;
  • laboratory testing of the finished compost; and
  • assistance with developing a marketing plan.

The Sterling Compost System is ideal for the horse owner who has no prior construction or composting experience and for situations where a stable manager and crew will be responsible for overseeing the composting process and developing markets for the finished product. With the Sterling Compost System, instructions are provided in both English and Spanish.

Paragon Compost System

The Paragon Compost System includes our Sterling Compost System, as described above, PLUS a compost structure kit produced by Barn Pros, Inc., an elite wood barn manufacturing company based in the Pacific Northwest. We are currently developing several alternative kit designs that include all components and instructions for easy assembly. Through this exclusive business-to-business partnership, we are pleased to offer this aesthetically pleasing (and discreet) approach to efficient manure management.
